Annual Presentation Evening

The Focus Youth Projects Annual Presentation Evening took place on Wednesday 25th March in John Paul II Primary School at 7pm

It was attended by over 200 community members who turned up to acknowledge the achievements of our youth members.

Over the last year, the young people from Focus successfully achieved 244 new and accredited qualifications –

Trinity College Arts Award – 34 young people

Trinity College Rock Awards – 2 young people

Saltire Award – 28 young people

Royal Yacht Association – Power boating Level 1 – 18 young people

Royal Yacht Association – Power boating Level 2 – 23 young people

Nicas Rock climbing Level – 12 young people

Nicas Rock climbing Level – 6 young people

Nicas Rock climbing Level 3 – 2 young people

BASI Snowboarding Level 2 – 8 young people

BASI Ski-ing – 12 young people

Royal Yacht Association – Sailing Level 1 – 6 young people

Royal Yacht Association – First Aid – 1 Year – 17 young people

Royal Yacht Association – Emergency First Aid at work – 3yr course – 15 young people

National Navigation Award – 12 young people

Bronze Duke of Edinburgh – 8 young people

CSCS – 3 people

First Aid in Construction Environment – 3 young people

British Canoeing Association Paddleboarding – 29 young people

British Canoeing Association -Kayaking – 6 young people

The Outstanding Achievement Awards were dedicated to Bob Campbell from First Aid Options who has been training the young people in First Aid for over 22 years.

On the Night the Entertainment was provided by-

The Band – Layton, Liam, Jackson, Lacey who performed Nirvana’s About a girl (Composed by Music Workers Stephen and Sam).

The Singers – Eve, Katy, Lacey, Poppy Orla, Maddison and Maja who sang – How far I’ll go from the Moana Soundtrack (supported by Sessional Worker – Frankie Burns).

Dancers – Macey, Poppy, Lacey, Renae, Eve and Ellise. (Supported by Senior Youth Worker – Debbie Green).

A big thank you to the Focus Guest Speakers – Ava, Orla, Lily Maddison, Daniel, Jackson, William, Kayce, Lori, Macey, Elizabeth, Lily, Andrew, Dylan, Renae, Leia, Poppy, Eve, Ellise, Lacey, Molly, Sophia, Maja, Layton and Scott.
